Cheboygan Ribbon Cutting Success!
On August 9th, 2017 Fieldstone A&E hosted its Ribbon Cutting event for the Cheboygan Office. It was a celebration that brought to light many opportunities for Fieldstone to help the local community, and we were elated to have received such a warm welcoming from attendees.

Fieldstone A&E Founder/CEO opens office in hometown of Cheboygan
Fieldstone Architecture & Engineering was born in the depths of the great recession. Today, the award-winning firm has been recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. 5000. “We grew 600 percent in the first three years,” says founder and CEO Ryan Rasmussen. Before the housing market crashed, Rasmussen was at the pinnacle of a 12-year career holding the position of National Structural Engineering Manager with one of America’s most successful home builders. In 2010, Rasmussen was told he was being let go. “I was the sole breadwinner of our blended family of six, my wife, Heidi, was pregnant with our baby due in just a few months, and no one was hiring— it was an intense period of time,” he says. “When you grow up in Northern Michigan, you can’t help but learn from so many hardworking people how to make the best of difficult times. Heidi and I made the decision to risk it all and take a leap of faith together. Six years later, our hard work, and that of many others, has paid off 100 times over. Opening a new office in my hometown is a great feeling, but it’s the ability to help this community in even a small way that I’m most excited about,” says Rasmussen.
Jon Schulz, the manager at the Cheboygan office, has put together an experienced team that will continue to grow. “When it comes down to it, we are a group of friends who like to share our expertise in Architecture, Engineering and Interior Design to create a thriving community,”says Schulz. Whether it’s a custom home, a renovation, a mixed-use commercial space, or a residential community, Fieldstone A&E is quickly being recognized as the go-to firm to deliver projects complete, accurate and on time.
