Fieldstone Architecture & Engineering LLC, Auburn Hills, has announced the promotion of Bruce Kopytek to vice president of commercial architecture and the appointments of Brita Brookes as marketing coordinator/graphic designer; Sharisse Twigg as accounting assistant/office manager; Steve Knauf as senior CAD technician; Mark Galbraith as assistant project manager; and Scott Kubica as senior CAD technician.
Kopytek began working at Fieldstone in August of 2013 and was elevated to senior architect in 2014. He has over 36 years of experience in the field. with a bachelor of science in architecture and a bachelor of arts in architecture, both from the University of Detroit-Mercy.
Throughout his career, Kopytek has designed a considerable variety of structures, from banks and retail stores to custom homes and high-rise apartments. Prior to his position at Fieldstone A&E he served as chief architectural designer for Thompson-Phelan Inc.
Brookes has been been working at the firm since March 2015 and is responsible for the company’s marketing efforts and the design of all branding and collateral for its office locations. She has a bachelor of science in architecture from the University of Michigan, a master of architecture from Harvard University, and a pending bachelor of fine arts in graphic arts from the College For Creative Studies.
Brookes is an active member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists where she was the elected 2013 Student Ambassador. Prior to joining Fieldstone, she was with the Society for College and University Planning as a graphic designer and media production assistant for its publications and educational teams. She also worked for the Walbridge Aldinger Company as an assistant project manager for the renovation of the Barracks Building at Historic Fort Wayne.
Twigg has been brought on-board after working as a billing specialist and project accountant since 1998. She has over 15 years of experience working as an accountant in the field of architecture in the Metro Detroit area and attends Wayne State University where she pursuing a bachelor of business administration. Prior to joining Fieldstone she was a project administrator at URS Corporation and Harley Ellis Devereaux in Southfield.
Galbraith is a CAD Operator and architectural designer with 20 years of experiencing. Prior to joining the team, he worked for a number of home builders as a CAD technician, designer, and project manager. Prior to joining Fieldstone A&E he was with Champion Home Builders in Troy.
Knauf has come on-board as a senior CAD technician. He has over eight years of drafting and design experience ranging from detailed custom casework design to residential construction documentation.
With a bachelor of science in construction management from Northern Michigan University, Knauf will be assisting in the completion of production home construction documents and in developing details. Prior to moving to Southeast Michigan, he worked for Eyewood Design in Interlochen.
Kubica is also a new senior CAD Technician at Fieldstone, bringing with him over over 15 years of CAD drafting and design experience. He is attending Macomb Community College where he is pursuing a degree in architectural design and drafting. In his new role he will be leading the completion of drawing packages for a variety of residential and commercial projects from the Auburn Hills office.
